July 19, 2014 First Women's Eight

2 Eights and a Four, 3 Coxswains, 2 Cox Boxes...does it get any better than this?
Yes - One Eight was our first Women's Eight.  Our Newbies and returning rowers tolerated and learned from our drills.
Beautiful water and DNR had nothing bad to say about us.

February 9th row

Beautiful sunny day on Battery Creek today and no wind.  Six members rowed the eight man with a coxswain!  We had a five mile row with some drills and lots of fun!

Saturday, February 8

Mother Nature let us row today after a week of washouts!  We rowed a four man shell and an eight man shell this morning before the rain came down.  We did get a little wet at the end, but it was worth it!

Rowing again at last

Ten cabin fever weary rowers made it on the water today in an eight man and a four man shell.  What a beautiful day!  Both boats had a good row and a bald eagle sighting!  Let's hope the ground hog did not see his shadow today!

Rowed the four man shell with a coxswain this morning.  Nice to get a row in before the bad weather returns!
